We spent a morning around Tiong Bahru with the fabulous blogger Laila Lu of  Rock the Trend. Starting the day with a cup of coffee at Tiong Bahru Bakery and a chat we made our way around the bustling hood of the ‘Ru. There’s so much energy there first thing in the morning. It’s one of my favourite areas to step back in time. Shot for Honeycombers you can read the full article here.

I was honoured to be asked by Dove to be their Camera Confidence Photographer and instil confidence in women who had always hated to have their photograph taken. Along with Celestine Chua we conducted a workshop followed by a photo shoot with me where we celebrated real beauty. I spent time making sure each women’s personality was showcased and in doing so brought out their inner beauty and showed them how to work their best angles for the camera. You can read a more detailed account of the day here.

Dove’s celebration of real women and real beauty is something close to my heart and I was thrilled to be a part of this campaign.  All of the women who participated were amazing people and I wanted them to have great photographic memories of all the important milestones in their life. I hope the camera confidence workshop changed their lives and that they are able to smile confidently and beautifully in front of the camera like I know they can.

I also had to face my own camera shyness on the day we had to shoot the commercial and you can read about my experience in front of the camera here.
